How REP AI calls your courier or warehouse API inside support skills
REP AI calls your courier, warehouse or ERP API from inside its built-in support skills, so answers can rest on data Shopify never sees. You add the endpoint once in AI Support > Support Skills > a skill > Custom policy > API Endpoints; the address and key stay masked from the AI, and your policy says when to call it by name.

Connect an endpoint once
Your courier, warehouse, or ERP often knows things Shopify never hears about, like whether a parcel really arrived. You connect its endpoint to the skill once. The address and the key stay with REP. The AI only knows it by name. Your policy then calls it by that name, at the step where it matters.
Courier confirms delivery
In the chat, the skill asks your courier, not Shopify, whether the order arrived and only then takes the claim.
When delivery isn't confirmed
If your system can't confirm delivery, no claim goes through, and the shopper gets a plain answer instead of an error.
Seven skills, five endpoints
The same section sits in seven built-in skills, from order status to subscriptions.
Common questions
Can REP AI check delivery with my courier before it accepts a damaged-order claim?
Yes. Add your courier's endpoint to the Damaged order skill's custom policy and REP AI asks the courier, not Shopify, whether the parcel arrived before it takes the claim.
Which REP AI support skills can call my own API?
Seven built-in skills: Order status, Cancel order, Change address, Modify order, Returns, Subscriptions and Damaged order. Each can have up to five endpoints, set in AI Support > Support Skills > a skill > Custom policy > API Endpoints.
What do I need to connect my own API, and does the AI see my key?
You need Expert Zone and your own API, and the address and key are set once and masked so the AI only knows the endpoint by name. Requests are limited to public URLs, a 10-second timeout and a 50KB response.
